“Adam and I were both born and raised in Maryland. We are very proud of our state and decided to have a Maryland themed wedding. My brother-in-law officiated our wedding which made it very special. We tried to keep our ceremony short and sweet so we could get to all of the fun stuff! We both each have a very close group of friends from high school, which is why our wedding party was so large. We have all been friends since high school so it was amazing to celebrate this day with people standing next to us that we have grown up with. Everyone in our wedding party has known each other for years so it made the whole day incredibly fun and comfortable.Adam and I have known each other since we were 14. My family’s closest friends growing up have a son Patrick (he was groomsman). His best friend was Adam. I first met Adam when we were freshman in high school. We were always very good friends. He asked me to Junior Prom and we dated briefly after. We stayed close friends when we went away to college. I always saw him as a very good friend. Winter break senior year of college we were all at a party and I saw him a new light. We started dating and the rest is history! He proposed in February of 2014 very romantically.” – Alexandra
